Dollar General Premium Diaper Review

I love trying new products. Especially when  I get to test them. I was given the opportunity to try Dollar General's New Line of Premium Diapers. What I look for in diapers is that they feel good but most importantly the price is good. If you are like me, you are trying to make your dollar stretch far these days. I got DG premium diapers 18 pack size 5 from Dollar General.

With every new product that you try you have your doubts if it will be good.  When I got the pack of diapers I put them to the test with my 16 month old daughter, Ashley. I usually open the diaper completely before I place them under her. When I took the DG diaper out, I opened it and the sides were stuck to the diaper and I had to pull it apart. Being very careful as not to rip/tear the diaper.  But once past that they were fine. My way of testing a diaper is with overnight coverage.  If she wakes up and the diaper leaked then its bad and I give them away. The Dollar General premium brand stood up to the test. No leaks on Ashley's clothes or her crib sheets or mattress. 

I next tested the diaper in the morning and later in the day. Ashley is a very active baby. All she wants to do if walk and run. These diapers are great!   They keep up with her and move with her. The DG diapers are true to her size as she weighs 27lbs. Yup, I know she is a big baby (no pun intend). 

In the next coming months I will be transitioning her towards training pants and will look into trying DG Toddler Training Pants for Girls  a steal at $7.75 for a 36 Ct package.

Getting Braces as an Adult Part 2

I just finished my 1st month with braces so I have 23 months left. I have experiences many new things thanks to these braces. When you get them put on, your dentist will hand you a pamphlet with all the do's and don'ts of wearing braces. You can't eat gummy candies or honey roasted peanuts because they get stuck to your teeth and wires.

I had an experience that I wanted to share with you. I was combing my hair the other day and used a poppy pin. I put the first pin in my hair without any issues. When I went to put in the second one I pulled the wire on my braces. Oh, what a disaster. I couldn't close my mouth completely. I called my dentist and had to go back for the second time. The first time the wire popped out because the tiny rubber bands fell off and could not be put back in place without a new one.

This time it was my fault and you can imagine when the office manager told me if they have to cut it off and put a new one it would be $150. That was no joke to me. She told me, "Didn't you read the pamphlet?" and I said yeah. It said I couldn't put pens or pencils nothing about poppy pins. She just shook her head and gave me a look.

Yup. I learned my lesson. Next month I will be getting my lower braces put on. Oh the joy of braces. At least this time around I know what to expect in terms of pain and I am ready. Soft foods I can swallow without chewing cause it does hurt to bite and chew.
