My #DisneySide @HomeCelebration Toddler Party

Disclaimer: I received free products in order to host a Disney Side @Home Celebration.  All opinions expressed in this post are my own.

I applied to host a #DisneySide party on a whim.  I didn't think that I would be chosen out of the tons of applications that were sent.  To my astonishment, I got an email with the words CONGRATULATIONS - You're a Host on it.  It made my day.  I didn't know which package I was going to be sent. All I knew was that it was going to be awesome whatever they sent.

I got a girl themed box with nail polish.  My son wasn't too happy at our un-boxing as he said it was all for a girls and nothing for him.  I told him that it was alright as that meant I would have to get the boys somethings that were invited.  That put a big smile on his face.

I had to reschedule my party several times due to the weather. I scheduled a party and my area got hit with a blizzard.  I had to cancel it a 2nd time due to ice as roads were terrible to travel.  I finally was able to host my #DisneySide party at my daughter's daycare, Moving Up Children's Center.  I cannot show the children's faces, I can however show pictures with there backs towards the camera or show part of there body.

Start of the Party

I brought the dessert and crafts to my daughter's daycare. The staff helped me set up.  All the kids had fun playing pin the smile on mickey.  My box didn't include the smiles but that didn't stop me from creating my own. I used the picture from the cake pan and made copies of mickey's smile from that and voila.

Pin Smile On Mickey

I had two very happy toddlers.  The boy and girl that were the closest won. The girl won a Palace Pet and the boy a Buzz Lightyear toy.

Enjoying Mickey Cupcakes

We then moved on to eat the mini Mickey cupcakes after playing the game. Once finished we moved onto crafts.  I saw a a balloon Baymax printable that you could make. I printed the instructions and cut out all the pieces.  I then put them in the Minnie Mouse ziploc that was included in my box.

A party is not a party if there isn't balloons present. While each child ate, the staff and I got out the ziploc bags and tape.  We started to inflate each balloon for the kids.  We then had the kids attach the head and arms and put it on the base.  I used a smaller balloon then the one in the instruction sheet.  You can see by the picture above our results.

After the crafts were done we moved onto the Mickey Gelatin Dessert. I purchased 3 packs of Jello, mini oreo cookies and the whip cream.  I then put whip cream on each and gave one to each child to decorate. They could put the mini oreo cookies for ears anyway they liked.  Some Mickey's never got ears as it was gone before I set it down. Below are the step by step instruction on how you can make your very own Mickey Gelatin Desserts.

You will need:

  1. Whip cream
  2. Powder gelatin (you can make your own & follow the box directions) or ready-made gelatin
  3. Mini oreo cookies

Super easy to make. Just spread the whip cream onto the gelatin. Next place the mini Oreo's into position and your done.

Goody Bag

All the kids had a blast. I gave the dessert above to the staff and one of the parents.  It was delicious.  Each child received a goody plus the HP photos pack and Disney Tags.  I purchased toy Cars in the photo for all the boys and gave the nail polishes to the girls.  The party was a success and all of the children were super happy that it was hard for my daughter to take her nap as she wanted to play.

I was happy that I we had gotten a sample of Snuggle, All and Wisk in our box.  My daughter's Minnie shirt got stained with cupcake icing and gelatin.   I popped it in the washing machine using the All Mighty Pacs OXI and the new Snuggles Scent Boosters.  My clothes came out clean and smelled good. Thank you to the sponsors Disney Parks, HP, Wisk, All, Snuggle, and MomSelect, Leanne Jabubowski and Jamie  Langdon for choosing and allowing me to show you my #DisneySide @HomeCelebration.
