When you find out your are pregnant you want the best for your baby. You ask friends and family what products are good. When I was pregnant with my son, I choose a travel combination stroller. My problem was that after my son got bigger it was too heavy. I discovered Maclaren through a friend who had used it for her son when he was a toddler. We had to make a run to the store and I borrowed her stroller. That's when I feel in love with this brand. It was so light. I didn't know a stroller could feel that light.

As you can see from the photo above, my daughter is strapped in and has the raincover on. I love it because it keeps her warm when its windy out and covers her all the way passed her feet. This is included when you purchase Maclaren strollers as other brands do not include it. Note that when you put bags on the handle bars the stroller will tip back without the child sitting in it as it is lightweight. The handle bars on this stroller are high as my husband is tall.
Things I didn't like
- Recline button on the back was extremely hard to loosen and didn't really go back enough or sit up too much.
- Straps after adjusting them to my daughter did not hold her in as she would take her arms out.
- Wheels are small and would get stuck on the sidewalk and intersections that were uneven and had potholes.
- Canopy not see through.
- Rain-cover did not cover the canopy completely.
Things I like
- Lightweight
- Raincover included
- Easy to open and close
- One step braking system
- Stroller strap to carry
- Canopy is bigger and extends further
- Handles bars are high so I don't have to bend as I'm tall
Overall, I would use the Maclaren Globetrotter stroller again and again. The features on this stroller are not found with other brands. It is truly a lightweight stroller and the perfect handle height. The Globetroller stroller retails for $160.00 and comes in colors crown blue, festival fuchsia, scarlet, prince blue and black. Love that you can put it over your shoulder!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that it's light-weight, but I need something a little more heavy-duty with my diaper bag!
ReplyDeleteI love that you can carry it over the shoulder and that it reclines! At a little over 10 lbs, it's not too heavy to carry for myself or hubs either!
ReplyDeleteThis stroller is definitiely something that may work for my son. Thanks for the review!

ReplyDeleteThere are a few things I really like about this stroller: it is small, it has a basket, a canopy, and has a rain cover. Nice.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw Maclaren, I knew this was a stroller review. I love Maclaren strollers!
ReplyDeleteI have one very very similar to this one. I like it, but do not like closing it down...it's just too hard and I can't remember how to do it half the time. I like the color of yours and the rain cover.
ReplyDeleteI love lightweight strollers, with everything else we have to carry it just makes it easier.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome stroller!
ReplyDeleteI had a big and bulky stroller. This one looks so easy to work with.
ReplyDeleteLooks very well constructed and love how slim it folds
ReplyDeleteThese strollers are really comfy and easy to use. Kids love sitting in them for a prolonged period of time!

ReplyDeleteI seriously love that it is lightweight, compact, and has that rain cover and water resistant hood! we have rain and snow a lot in our area, so those features are really important!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic stroller! WOW! I love the fact first of all that it comes with a rain cover. And it seems to fold up very slim and small. I love the colour! It's really awesome! I had never heard of this brand of stroller before! Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeleteI love how light weight you make it sound, and that fact that it folds so compact. The rain cover is a definite bonus, however I agree not being able to see down into the canopy can be nerve racking.
