#Review Makit Products Inc - Make a Plate Kit

Wouldn't you love to keep your kids drawings forever. Your own Picasso or Michelangelo. You can with Makit.  I had the wonderful opportunity to review the Make-a-Plate Kit.

Make A Plate Kit $16.99

Makit was started by Bob Hodges in 1969. One day a neighbor, who was a teacher, told him wouldn't it be nice to have your kids artwork on something useful instead of it falling off the refrigerator and throwing it away. And so began the concept of Makit.  Today millions of people have used Makit for art projects and family keepsakes. Celebrities too have created and signed plates for charity like Dick Clark, Madonna, Matthew Broderick, and Nathan Lane just to name a few.

The idea is simple. You purchase a kit that includes 5 drawing sheets and markers, plus one pre-paid certificate for processing the artwork. The plates are BPA free, dishwasher safe and break resistant.  The plates are not microwavable.

My son and I had a mommy and son time. We had fun creating new pictures. You draw whatever you wish and then ship back the drawings you would like to make into a plate. You mail it back with the pre-paid certificate. After a couple of days you will get your finished product in the mail. For more information about shipping and processing fees click HERE.  This will be our family's keepsake that we can pass on.

Makit makes other products such as mugskey chains that make awesome gifts for anniversaries

Children's Place Holiday Preview 2012

I was invited to the Momtrends Children's Place event preview.  I got a chance to see the latest fall and holiday fashions for this season.

For the big kids to the small ones

When you step off the elevator you are taken into a room that looks like a magazine cover. The room has an array of colorful trees and the cutest children models. The clothes are fabulous and rich in color. The accessories are adorable. Each piece of clothing is easily mixed and match to make a new outfit.
