When it comes to pots and pans I tend to stay with the same one for years. Recently I noticed that my non-stick pan was peeling. This is not good, which prompted me to start searching for new cookware.
I started to shop around for the best price I could find, which is not good because price is not everything. I began researching the different brands and I discovered that most cookware were made up of chemicals that were bad.
Conventional non-stick cookware is achieved through a coating of PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), a synthetic property that is waxy. At temperatures very high, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and harmful to humans. PTFE is also made with PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid) an ingredient that the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has classified as a 'persistent pollutant to the environment'.
Using this information, my search for new cookware took a different turn. I started to look for products that were free of PTFE and PTOA and ceramic. I do have to say, it was difficult to find in the stores in my area. I then went online and saw the 10" Ozeri Green Earth Pan that was free of PTFE and PTOA and had to try it.
I received the Ozeri Green Earth Pan and put it right to work. I cooked some chicken breast in a little oil. I laid them all out making sure each was exposed. With this pan it has a textured cooking surface that creates air pockets which distribute the heat.
As you can see from the picture above, the chicken was cooked evenly. You can cook with half the amount of oil you normally would use. The Ozeri Green Earth Pan is truly non-stick and the German ceramic coating is durable and scratch resistant.
I love this pan and recommend it to all. The handle is sturdy and comfortable to hold. Cleaning is easy, just use a sponge with soap or clean it with lemon juice or vinegar to get rid of any left over residue that soap can't get out.
You can purchase your very own Ozeri Green Earth Pan on Amazon.
Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
