A Romantic #Getaway to Pocono Palace
As couples we need to take more #getaways with each other. There are so many things happening in our lives that we need to reconnect with your spouse or significant other. My husband recently surprised me with a romantic #getaway to Pocono Palace. This was a much-needed our time for us with no children. He searched online and got a good deal through Groupon. It was an all-inclusive 3 days and a 2-night stay. The all-inclusive package includes breakfast and dinner. We stayed at the Roman Tower suite. Check out the video below.
The
video shows us walking into the suite for the first time. Sorry if I am quiet at times as it was a surprise
walking into rose petals on the floor all the way up to the bedroom. My husband added a bucket with ice, Moscato wine, and two wine glasses. I was left
speechless at times as you can hear in the video.

The room has a small living room, a fireplace, and a flat TV. A heart-shaped pool with sauna, a champagne shaped jacuzzi, and upstairs is the bathroom, a round bed with a starry light in the ceiling, another flat TV and a mini-fridge. You can bring your own snacks and drinks with you and keep them in the mini-fridge. This is a couples-only resort. No children allowed.
Each night there is a different themed dinner and entertainment. Dinners are served 6-8pm Sun-Thurs, 6-9pm Fri, & 5-8pm Sat.
The entertainment starts at 8:15 pm with karaoke and then another artist from a singer, comedian, etc. The first two nights it was karaoke and a comedian. The second night had karaoke with a band singing. The band was good. The comedian started at 9pm and went for an hour. Brad Lower was funny. He kept all of us entertained and laughing. There are different activities throughout the day. You take the Hot Spot daily brochure that tells you all the activities for the day. On the 2nd day, we participated in an LCR game with a foam dice and chips with the CXO. The CXO is the chief excitement officer. In other words, the go-to person for fun activities and entertainment at the resort. Each resort has one. In the LCR game, you roll the dice and you either move left, right or center. The last one with chips wins.
Breakfast is daily from 8:30-11:00 am and is all you can eat buffet breakfast.
We
then played BINGO and it was a cash prize depending on how many people play. It is $5 for one board or $20 for 6
boards. We didn't win this time.
There
are so many things to do in the Poconos. You can stay on-site or venture
outside. They have the Crossing Premium Outlet, Indian museum, Shawnee ski
resort, and more. You can eat lunch at Spooner's Cafe.
We
walked around the resort and came upon snowmobiles. We had to take pictures and wished it had
been a snowy winter so we could take them out. We played pool and they have a nature trail that you can take around the property. They have a gift store where you can purchase bubbles, souvenirs, creams and more.
I have stayed at all three resorts and find that Coven Haven is the farthest. You have to walk far to get from one place to the other. They do have buses that will take you from point A to point B. Coven Haven resort is on a hill and you can sled and ski, boogie board downhill. You will read reviews that talk about the cracks or other work that needs to be done. But at the end of the day, you are there to enjoy yourself and not if the wallpaper is ripped, etc. Don't sweat the small stuff.
You can get married, do a vow renewal ceremony and more. You can check out all three properties at Coven Haven, Paradise Stream, and Pocono Palace. We booked our getaway through Groupon. The month of February is big at all three resorts as it is the month of love. They do a special event all month long.
