#Review ~ Maxiglide RP Steam Flat Iron
![]() |
Have you heard about Maxiglide RP Steam Flat Iron? This flat iron is unique. It has steam technology. The steam hydrates your hair leaving it shiny.
As you can see from the video above, it took
my hair from curly to straight. Since it has the retractable pins (combs), I
would comb my hair before placing it on the flat iron to avoid hair
breakage. If you are expecting it to detangle your hair out stop as it can split it.
Specifications:
This steam flat iron
comes in two sizes the XP and RP. I purchased the RP with 1 1/4"
plates. It has retractable pins (comb) on the detangler so that you can use it
with the pins or completely flat. These retractable pins are a
multi-use flat iron, straightener, flipping, and curling. The
machine heats up from 190° to 450° in 10° increments.
Steamburst technology is key to hydrating your hair. It has a water
compartment for the steam. How do you know when you have to fill it up
again? It is simple as the steam stops.

| After Results |
I had the original Maxiglide that I purchased
on a shopping channel. It finally died and I got this one. I used my
old one for years but this new version is not good. The steamwater
compartment kept leaking. The water would come out instead of the steam that
would wet my hair and took longer to dry and finish. I set the temperature to
300° and it was still fluffy. I finally had to use it at 450°. There
were several times that it would turn off as the on/off button is on the bottom
of the handle. The iron itself was too hot that I could not touch it
as it has metal parts on the top. Once I finished, I wrapped my hair and put a hair net and bandana and slept with it. I styled my hair in the morning and this is the after result above. Overall, I will be looking for another steam flat iron.
You can visit them online at Maxiglide and
find which Maxiglide you like for you.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’m terrible with hair stuff so I need all the help I can get LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, that is such a transformation for your curly hair! My hair is fairly straight as I got a Brazilian blowout - which is expensive, but much needed!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks great both ways. My niece also has beautiful curly hair, but I know she likes to change up her look from time to time. I'll let her know about this.
ReplyDeleteI want to have this steam flat iron not for myself but for my sisters as they love changing their hair styles from time to time.
ReplyDeleteMy hair is straight but had it curled before. I will be needing that flat iron once i decided to have a curly hair then have it back to straight in a snap. Lol!
